Brewed: Muntons Gold - India Pale Ale

I just brewed a 6 gallon (5 Imp. gallons) batch of British style India Pale Ale.

The Muntons Gold India Pale Ale kit comes complete with:
2 large cans of HME
1 packet of Muntons Gold Yeast.

I brewed this straight up according to the directions supplied without adding any extra malt or sugars.  Very easy to brew.

I used the Muntons Gold yeast supplied with the kit since it has a very good reputation.  I used 2 gallons of chilled bottled spring water and the rest of the water was cold tap water filtered by my Pur water filter.

I'm going to let this ferment on the low end of the temp. range for 3 weeks then bottle.

I'm looking forward to trying this a couple of months from now.

  1. Nice krausen on top of the wort this morning. Nice to see it form so quickly.
